The administrative-territorial structure of the Association “LAG Tecuci” extends from the southern part of Vaslui county, respectively Pochidia commune and continues to the North-West and Central part of Galaţi county, having in its composition the communes: Bălăşești, Buciumeni, Cerțeşti, Corod, Cosmești, Costache Negri, Cudalbi, Drăgușeni, Ghidigeni, Gohor, Nicoreşti, Poiana, Priponești, Țepu, Valea Mărului. The “LAG Tecuci” Association has its headquarters in Poiana village, Poiana commune, Galati county. Taking into account the European context of rural development and the need to solve the problems identified in the territory, the Association “LAG Tecuci” manifests its intention to apply and participate in national or international cooperation projects and actions, in partnership with other LAGs. Cooperation is an action that can contribute both complementarily and synergistically to the implementation of the SDL. Based on the experience during the implementation period of the NRDP 2007-2013, the financing of measures to capitalize on local resources and promote local specificity is relevant to maintain the innovative character of the LEADER approach. At the same time, pursuing the same general and specific objectives of the Common Agricultural Policy of the EU and PNDR, the LEADER program involves the development of local communities in a specific manner, adapted to their needs and priorities. Innovation is one of the main elements of the LEADER approach. Therefore, LEADER will encourage innovative projects that are in line with the objectives of Reg. (EU) nr. Regulation (EC) No 1305/2013 and the Community’s local development objectives. The Local Development Strategy (LDS) was developed based on a bottom-up approach. The proposed LEADER activities correspond to the different types of activities provided for in Regulation 1305/2013. 

The main objectives of the LAG are:

• Favoring the competitiveness of agriculture;
• Ensuring sustainable management of natural resources and combating climate change;
• Achieve balanced territorial development of rural economies and communities, including job creation and maintenance.

 By implementing this ‘LEADER ENJOY WINE’ project, the innovative character of the Tecuci LAG territory will  be intensified, by defining the adoption of the concept of ‘smart village’, which will bring future benefits to the LAG territory, as in the LAG territory there are producers of wines obtained from ancient varieties whose activity and products are insufficiently promoted and valued. Using a bottom-up approach to identify territorial needs and subsequently solutions to meet those needs, the project will unite relevant actors for the territory and support a series of activities to increase their cohesion and level of involvement in order to promote ancient wines (Băbeasca, Feteasca) and stimulate tourism for sustainable local development.  

The added value is represented by the development and implementation of the concept of wine tourism – currently non-existent at local level. The project “LEADER ENJOY WINE” will bring added value to the territory by developing and implementing innovative tools (wine road, website, smartphone application).

Capitalizing on experience: The project “LEADER ENJOY WINE” offers us the opportunity to exchange experience with other LAGs in the country, exchange of good practices, ideas, knowledge and will encourage cooperation and exchange of information and technologies with other producers in the country and abroad, some with experience in wine tourism activities.
