The aim of the Podgoria Panciu Local Action Group Association is to promote and support the sustainable development of communities by developing and implementing local development strategies.

The area is 500.56 km2 with a population of 31,694 inhabitants and a density of 63.31 inhabitants/km2, being made up of 7 administrative-territorial units (UAT), respectively the communes: Bolotești, Fitionești, Movilita, Păunești, Străoane, Șifești and the city of Panciu.

On the territory of the GAL Podgoria Panciu there is one of the areas of special avifaunistic protection in Vrancea county, namely: ROSPA0075 Măgura Odobești, included in the List of protected natural areas, Natura 2000. ROSPA0075 Măgura Odobești covers 47% of the area of ​​Bolotești commune.

The network of national, county and municipal roads that crosses the territory of the Podgoria Panciu LAG is made up of: 2 national roads: DN2D Focșani – Târgu Secuiesc and DN2L, several municipal roads that connect the localities of the territory and 4 county roads: DJ 205 H (Panciu – Movilita – Păunești – Int. DN 2); DJ 205J (Dumbrava – Fitionești – Zăbrăuți creek), DJ204E (Mărășești – Panciu); DJ 205B (Bolotești -Satu Nou); DJ 205 E (Bizighești – Șifești – Irești – Vidra). Also, the micro-region benefits from the close proximity of the European road E 85, the most important road of the region, which parallels the territory in its eastern part.
